Provider Terms

These terms apply to everyone who lists support, services, groups or opportunities on Discover Unique. They exist to help maintain a trusted, transparent and safe platform for the whole community — families, carers, professionals and providers alike. We have written them in plain English so that they are easy to understand, while still protecting Discover Unique and the people who rely on it.

Connecting People. Supporting Futures.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Discover Unique. We are a UK-based platform that helps people discover and connect with SEND, neurodivergent and additional needs support, services, opportunities and community connections.

These Provider Terms set out the understandings that apply when you list a service on Discover Unique. They help us keep the platform accurate, safe and trustworthy — so that families, carers, professionals and individuals can find the right support with confidence, and so that providers can reach the people who need them.

By listing a service on Discover Unique, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms, together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. If you list on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

2. Who Can List On Discover Unique

Discover Unique welcomes a wide range of providers who offer support to the SEND, neurodivergent and additional needs community. This includes:

  • Charities, community groups and not-for-profit organisations.
  • Independent tutors, therapists, coaches and mentors.
  • Support workers, personal assistants and sessional staff.
  • Businesses and social enterprises offering relevant services.
  • Apps and digital tools designed to support our community.

You must be at least 18 years old to list a service on Discover Unique. If you list on behalf of an organisation, you must be authorised to represent it and to make decisions about the information that is published.

We may, at our discretion, decline, pause or remove a listing where we believe it is not suitable for the platform or does not align with the values of Discover Unique.

3. Provider Responsibilities

As a provider, you play an important role in keeping Discover Unique a trusted and safe space. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate, current and truthful listing information.
  • Responding to enquiries in a reasonable and professional manner.
  • Delivering services in line with how they are described on the platform.
  • Complying with all relevant laws, regulations and safeguarding requirements that apply to your services.
  • Maintaining any insurance, registrations, memberships and certifications relevant to what you offer.
  • Respecting the privacy and dignity of everyone who contacts you through Discover Unique.

You remain solely responsible for the services you provide and for any agreements formed with families, carers, professionals or service users. Discover Unique is a discovery and connection platform and is not responsible for the delivery of services provided by third parties.

4. Accuracy Of Information

The information on your listing helps people make important decisions about support. It must be accurate, clear and up to date at all times.

Providers must ensure information remains accurate and up to date, including service descriptions, support needs, age groups, delivery methods, coverage areas, pricing and contact details. You should review your listing regularly and update it whenever something changes.

You must only submit information you are authorised to share. This includes images, logos, professional credentials, testimonials and any other content you publish. You must not upload content that is misleading, discriminatory, offensive, defamatory or that infringes the rights of another person or organisation.

Discover Unique may review, edit, decline, suspend or remove listings that are misleading, inaccurate, harmful or that no longer meet platform standards.

5. Contact Information And Privacy

You choose how families and individuals can contact you. Discover Unique lets you set contact preferences — for example public email, public telephone number, website, contact form or a combination of these methods.

Only contact methods you have actively approved will appear on your public listing. You can review and change your contact preferences at any time from your dashboard. Private contact details will not be displayed unless you choose to share them.

You should handle any personal information shared with you through an enquiry carefully and in line with UK data protection law. Further detail is set out in our Privacy Policy.

6. Discover Unique Verified™

Discover Unique Verified™ is a trust framework. It helps providers show that certain checks have been completed at the time of review, and helps families feel more confident when choosing support.

Where a provider chooses to take part, we may review evidence such as:

  • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificates.
  • Professional and public liability insurance.
  • Professional registrations and memberships.
  • Safeguarding policies relevant to the service offered.

The Verified™ badge confirms that these checks were carried out — it is a trust signal, not a guarantee of service quality, and it is not an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee of any provider or service.

Discover Unique reserves the right to request updated verification evidence where applicable, and to remove or pause the Verified™ badge if the underlying checks can no longer be confirmed. Verification documents are not published or shared publicly.

Providers are responsible for maintaining insurance, registrations and certifications relevant to their services, and for letting us know when these change.

7. Reviews And Feedback

Honest, respectful feedback helps families choose the right support and helps providers improve. Reviews on Discover Unique may come from parents, adults with SEND, young people, carers and professionals.

Reviews should be fair, truthful and based on genuine experience. We may moderate reviews to protect users and providers from harmful, abusive or misleading content. We may also remove reviews that are off-topic, contain personal information or breach these terms.

Providers should not post reviews of their own services or attempt to influence reviews dishonestly. If you believe a review is inaccurate or unfair, you can contact us and we will consider your response.

8. Suspension Or Removal Of Listings

We want every listing on Discover Unique to meet a consistent standard. We may review, approve, reject, suspend or remove provider profiles and listings at any time, including where:

  • Information is misleading, inaccurate or out of date.
  • A listing is harmful, offensive or inappropriate.
  • A provider no longer meets safeguarding, legal or professional requirements.
  • A provider has breached these Provider Terms or our Terms & Conditions.
  • A provider has not responded to reasonable enquiries or review requests.

We will try to act fairly and, where appropriate, give providers a reasonable opportunity to respond or make changes before a listing is removed. In urgent or safeguarding situations, we may act first to protect users.

9. Liability And Disclaimer

Discover Unique acts as a discovery and connection platform. We help people find support and help providers reach the people who need them. We are not responsible for the delivery, quality or outcome of services provided by third parties.

Providers remain solely responsible for their own services and for any agreements formed with families, carers, professionals or service users. We do not verify every claim a provider makes, and the Verified™ badge confirms only that specified checks were completed at the time of review.

To the extent permitted by law, Discover Unique excludes liability for any loss, damage or harm arising from the use of a service listed on the platform, or from reliance on listing information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

10. Changes To These Terms

We may update these Provider Terms from time to time to reflect changes in how the platform works, legal requirements or feedback from the community. When we make meaningful changes, we will make the updated terms available on this page and let listed providers know.

Continuing to list a service on Discover Unique after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree with a change, you can contact us or remove your listing.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes relating to these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
